Since 2001, Sarah has been Books Editor of Planet, a quarterly print magazine of global lifestyle and culture (circulation: 50,000). Each quarter, she works with the Editor-in-Chief to create an illustrated spread that features 3-4 reviews of fiction and literary nonfiction from around the world, and 2-3 reviews of art and photography titles. She also contributes regularly to other departments of the magazine, including Satellite, Voices and Features.
As Books Editor, Sarah’s reponsibilities include:- Research upcoming fiction, nonfiction and art books (lead time: 3 months)
- Choose U.S. and international books for review; assign and edit reviews; write reviews.
- Obtain artwork and prepare it for publication.
